Terms and Conditions

1.1 Introduction

a. These are the terms and conditions on which we, JiKonnectSoko, will facilitate the supply and delivery of products and services ("terms" or "contract") in Kenya by offering an equal opportunity for all merchants to sell.

b. These general terms and conditions shall apply to all merchants on the marketplace and shall govern your use of the marketplace/platform and related services.

d. By using our marketplace, you fully accept these general terms and conditions.

e. If you use our marketplace in the course of a business, you confirm authority to agree to these terms and bind your organisation.

f. We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time.

1.2 Business Profile Registration

a. You must be at least 18 years of age to register.

b. You must have all required documents and a running business.

c. You agree to keep your password confidential and notify us of any disclosure.

d. We may suspend or cancel your account for breach of these terms.

1.3 Subscription Fee

a. After registration, you may be required to pay a subscription fee (currently free).

b. Fees are subject to change. Non‑renewal leads to account suspension after one week.

c. Subscription fees are non‑refundable.

1.4 Products and Services

Merchants are responsible for uploading products, accurate titles/descriptions, correct pricing, and ensuring products are legal and authentic. Counterfeit or illegal products will be deleted and accounts may be suspended.

1.5 Anti-Counterfeit

Merchants must verify products are not counterfeit. Counterfeit goods will lead to account suspension and referral to authorities. All payments for counterfeit products will be withheld.

1.6 Delivery Guidelines

Merchants are responsible for choosing delivery partners and arranging shipment to customers.

1.7 Content & Image Guidelines

All product descriptions must be accurate, clear, free of spam/prohibited content, and comply with relevant laws. Images must be high‑quality, relevant, not misleading, and free of prohibited content (nudity, violence, hate speech).

1.9 Prohibited and Restricted Products

Prohibited: illegal drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit products, firearms, pornography, hate speech materials, IP infringements.

Restricted: alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, hazardous materials (only allowed under specific conditions with proof of licensure).

Violations result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination.

1.12 Merchant Code of Conduct

Merchants must be honest, provide excellent customer service, ensure quality and safety, respect shoppers, protect privacy, and comply with all platform rules.

2.3 Account Registration and Usage

Buyers must be 18+ to register. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We may suspend or cancel accounts for breach.

2.4 Products

Products are offered by independent third‑party vendors. The platform does not guarantee availability or quality.

2.5 Ordering and Payment

Orders are binding once placed. Merchants may refuse any order. Payment is made directly to the merchant. JiKonnectSoko does not store credit card information.

2.6 Shipping and Delivery

Vendors are responsible for shipping and delivery times.

2.7 Returns and Refunds

Each vendor has its own return/refund policy. JiKonnectSoko is not responsible for returns or refunds.
